Vernon Wells left the Toronto Blue Jays’ game against the Cleveland Indians on Friday night with an injured left wrist and tight right hamstring after making a diving catch in the sixth inning.
With a runner on first base, Cleveland’s Franklin Gutierrez hit a flyball to shallow right-center. Wells raced in and caught the ball inches above the ground, then rolled over twice and remained in a kneeling position.
