    Blue Jays 3, Phillies 1

    -->

    Aaron Hill hit a two-run home run and the Toronto Blue Jays beat the Philadelphia Phillies 3-1 on a cold and windy Friday night.

    Both teams struggled at the plate in their first game up north, having arrived from Florida Thursday. The temperatures fell into the low 40s by the end of the game.

    Cole Hamels gave up three runs - two earned - and five hits in five innings for the Phillies, including Hill’s homer on a fastball in the second inning.
