Carlos Pena hit his 46th home run, Jason Hammel won for the first time in five starts and the Tampa Bay Devil Rays beat the Toronto Blue Jays 8-5 Sunday.
The Devil Rays finished with a 66-96 record, leading the majors in losses for the second straight year and finishing in last place in the AL East for the ninth time in their 10 seasons. They won just three of their last 12 games.
Hammel (3-5) allowed four runs and seven hits in five innings to win for the first time since Sept. 2 at New York.
