Jose Guillen had hits in his first three at-bats, Seattle scored all of its runs with two outs, and the surging Mariners beat the Toronto Blue Jays 5-3 on Friday night for their sixth straight win.
Jarrod Washburn (7-6) pitched six innings as the Mariners improved to 43-33, the first time they’ve been 10 games above .500 since the end of the 2003 season. Seattle’s six-game winning streak is its longest since a six-game streak last Aug. 24-29.
