J.P. Ricciardi scheduled his final meeting Wednesday evening and it was an emergency meeting with Greg Landry and Casey Close the representatives for Gil Meche. InsideTheDome reported Tuesday afternoon, that even though the Jays had the highest offer on the table, Meche had his heart set on going to the Cubs. Ricciardi met with Camp Meche to see if he could persuade Meche to come to Toronto.
