Jays Agree to Terms with Machi
The Toronto Blue Jays agreed to terms with free agent pitcher Jean Machi to a Major League contract on Tuesday. Machi was declared a free agent when he failed to reach an agreement with his former organization, the Tampa Bay Devil Rays.

Labor Agreement Impacts Rule 4, Rule 5 Drafts
Major League Baseball and the Players Association announced on Tuesday that they agreed to a five-year labor contract that will allow play to continue uninterrupted through the 2011 season. The termination date of the new Basic Agreement is December 11, 2011. The new labor agreement also impacts the minor league side of baseball.
